Who is this camp for?
This camp is for girls that will be in grades 6 through 9 during the 2008-2009 school year.  Runners of all levels are encouraged to join us.  We are happy to share our knowledge and love of running with beginners and top athletes.

When and where is the camp held?
The camp will be held from Monday, June 2 through Thursday, June 5.  Campers will meet from 5 pm to 7pm at main doors of the Homestead Ninth Grade Academy.

What does the camp cost?
Total camp cost is $65.00.  

What do camp fees include?
•  Camp t-shirt
•  Camp folder/notes
•  Light snacks, water and sport drinks
•  Guest lectures to include information regarding:
   -injury prevention and treatment
   -nutrition and eating to fuel your body

The Camp Staff

Todd Ruppert -  
The coach at Summit Middle School since 1999, Coach Ruppert has coached many successful middle school runners who have gone on to have extremely successful high school careers. During the spring and summer months Coach Ruppert enjoys participating in local 5K and 10K events.  Not only does he try to model best practices in training, he also tries to instill the value of a healthy diet and taking good care of oneself.

Dave Panning –
From Woodside Middle School has coached for 11 years.  Coach Panning has coached many successful middle school runners who have gone on to be very competitive high school and collegiate runners.  Coach Panning is a veteran of the Chicago Marathon as well as various local road races.

Sara Wyss -
The girls’ coach at Homestead High School since 1991, Coach Wyss has coached the Spartans to ten consecutive IHSAA state final appearances, won five regional championships, five sectional titles and five Northeast Hoosier Conference titles.  Coach Wyss was the assistant track coach at Homestead High School for seventeen years and the head coach of the track & field team for two seasons.  A competitive runner in high school and college, Coach Wyss still hits the roads daily.
